  • 4 fillets Cod Fillets Fresh or frozen (thawed)
  • 4 tablespoons Butter Unsalted for best control over seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon Juice Freshly squeezed for optimal flavor
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Salt For seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper For seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons Parsley Chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C), allowing it to reach the right temperature while you prepare the ingredients.
  2. In a 9×13 baking dish, melt the butter in the oven for a few minutes until it’s golden and bubbly.
  3. Carefully remove the dish, and stir in the lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently lay the cod fillets in the dish, ensuring they’re evenly spaced. Spoon the aromatic butter mixture generously over the top.
Baking
  1. Place the dish in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  2. Once baked to perfection, sprinkle with chopped parsley for a fresh finish. Your Butter Baked Cod is now ready to serve!

For an elegant presentation, serve with sautéed greens and roasted vegetables. Pair with a crisp Sauvignon Blanc or light Chardonnay.
