- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 450 degrees F.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, 1 cup of chocolate chips, baking powder, sugar, and salt until well mixed.
- Add Buttermilk: Pour in the buttermilk and stir gently with a spatula until mostly combined.
- Prepare the Baking Dish: Pour the melted butter into an 8x8-inch baking dish.
- Add Biscuit Mixture: Spoon the dough on top of the melted butter, spreading it into an even layer.
- Score and Top: Use a knife to score the dough into 9 equal squares and sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips on top.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 28-30 minutes.
- Absorb the Butter: Allow the biscuits to rest for a few minutes after baking.
