- In a stand mixer, combine softened cream cheese and mix on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Gradually add confectioners’ sugar and mix on low until combined; then increase to medium speed until smooth, around 2 more minutes.
- Incorporate sour cream and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, pour in the cold heavy whipping cream and whip until stiff peaks form, about 3-5 minutes.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully integrated.
- Transfer the mousse to a serving dish and serve immediately, or chill in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
