Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Sift together the flour and baking powder in a small bowl.
- In a large mixing bowl, mix the sifted flour mixture with Greek yogurt, salt, and sugar until a shaggy dough forms. Avoid overmixing.
- Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for about 2-3 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape into balls. Poke a hole through the center of each ball and stretch the hole to about an inch in diameter.
- Brush each bagel with beaten egg and sprinkle Everything Bagel seasoning on top.
Baking
- Bake the bagels for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and they sound hollow when tapped.
- Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.
Notes
For the best results, ensure your yogurt is at room temperature. Store bagels in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days or freeze for up to 1 month. To reheat, toast or warm in the oven.
