  • 1/2 cup scallions, sliced thinly Green onions can be used.
Dressing
  • 1 apple cored and cut into 1/4-inch matchsticks Granny Smith or Honeycrisp are recommended.
  • 1.25 cups yogurt Plain Greek yogurt for thickness.
  • 0.75 cup mayonnaise A light version is preferred.
  • 2 tbsp vinegar Apple cider or white vinegar works well.
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice, freshly squeezed Adds brightness to the dressing.
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced Optional for added depth.
  • to taste Salt, pepper, and a pinch of white pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, broccoli slaw mix, carrots, and scallions. Toss gently to avoid bruising.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together yogurt, mayonnaise, vinegar, lemon juice, minced garlic, salt, and white pepper until smooth.
  3. Core the apple and cut it into thin matchsticks just before serving.
  4. Add the fresh apple and dressing to the vegetable mixture, tossing gently until everything is evenly coated.

Notes

Use high-quality ingredients for the best flavor. Prepare the vegetable mixture in advance but add the apple and dressing right before serving to maintain freshness.
