For the Matcha Base
  • 2.5 tsp matcha powder Use high-quality, ceremonial grade matcha for the best flavor.
  • 1 tbsp hot water Bring to around 175°F (80°C) for optimum matcha whisking.
  • 1.5 tbsp simple syrup Adjust sweetness to your liking.
  • 1.25 cup oat milk Can substitute with almond milk or regular dairy.
  • 1 cup ice Crushed for a slushier texture.
For the Lavender Foam
  • 1.75 oz heavy cream Use cold cream for better frothing.
  • 1 oz milk Any kind works; whole milk recommended.
  • 1.25 tbsp lavender syrup Recommended brand: Monin's Lavender Syrup.
  • 4 drops purple food coloring Optional for visual appeal.
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract Enhances flavor and aroma.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. In a glass, combine 2.5 tsp of matcha powder with 1 tbsp of hot water (175°F). Whisk vigorously for about 30 seconds until you have a smooth paste.
  2. Add 1.5 tbsp of simple syrup to the matcha paste, stirring well until fully dissolved.
  3. In a separate container, mix together the heavy cream, 1 oz of milk, 1.25 tbsp lavender syrup, and 4 drops of purple food coloring. Froth this mixture until thick foam forms.
  4. Fill a glass with 1 cup of ice. Pour the matcha base over the ice, followed by 1.25 cups of oat milk, stirring gently.
  5. Add 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract and spoon the lavender foam generously on top.
  6. Serve immediately, and enjoy your beautiful creation!

Notes

Quality ingredients matter. You can prepare the matcha base and lavender foam ahead of time and store separately in the fridge for up to a day. Experiment with flavors and customize to your preference.
